In the past 27 months, many consumers have discovered new small-batch food and drink products. Which is great. And many foodpreneurs have found new consumers. Also great. But, despite these new push and pull opportunities, many foodpreneurs have found it hard to make money and tough to stay in business right now.
This episode, the first in Season 3, has been dedicated to providing you with insight into four of the biggest challenges that have impacted many FMCG businesses in that time, those that have had the greatest negative impact on your bottom line:
- Fluctuating ingredient costs;
- Engaging buyers to discuss your wholesale strategy;
- Restrictions to sampling; and
- Relying on distributors to create demand.
My hope for you with this episode is that you learn how to prepare for and overcome these challenges that might be holding you back from landing more accounts; getting product into more consumers’ hands; and putting more money in your pocket for every food and drink product you sell.
