How would you describe the business you are in?
We make cookies, brookies, fruit bites, cookies for kids, brownies, mookies
What do you love about your work?
Achievements, getting a job done focusing on a project and seeing it come to fruition 3 years to develop kid coco cookies. idea was born when I fell pregnant with my little boy.
What part of your work would you gladly give away?
Equipment breaking down, staff not showing up, people calling in sick, being a psychologist for my staff!
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your career?
Not one person but if anyone who has been an incredible inspiration is Carolyn Creswell from Carman’s Kitchen. Watching what she’s been able to achieve has been inspiring. Her business model is interesting, she doesn’t manufacture herself, she contracts it out. She produces a great consistent product and at the end of the day she is a really nice person. She has stayed really true to herself.
If you were starting out in business again today, what advice would you give the younger you?
Focus on the financials from the very beginning. Look for people to assist you even if it is 1/2 hour, it is the basis of a successful business. It can be painful later on if you haven’t focused on that.

Look for support, take advice, anyone that wants to talk to you, don’t dismiss them. Stay true to yourself. Don’t waiver on quality. Just keep an ear out for advice and listen even if you just take one thing.
